Our 2016 Christmas Card

Merry Christmas my friends!

This year has been filled with many ups and downs. Though it seems like most of us have been lying in the valley, I am hoping that 2017 is filled with many mountaintops.

Christmas is a special time to spend with family and rejoice in the birth of a little babe who transformed the world. Presence is the greatest present we can give. I am sharing our 2016 Holiday/New Year card, taken by the amazing Natalie Schram. If you're in NC or the Southeast, I HIGHLY recommend her. She makes taking pictures fun and effortless.

We're closing out Christmas with our beloved family, a fire, and some wine. I hope you have had a day filled with peace. For those who find the holidays excruciating, know that I think of you and pray that you will see glimpses of love and joy.

All my love,

Hi loves,

I hope you had the most marvelous Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for each of my faithful readers! Y'all bring me so much happiness and joy!

I have the exciting opportunity to talk to you about a new favorite of mine: Nip+Fab skin care products! My mom always told me to take good care of my skin. I have really dry and sensitive skin, so it is often hard to find products that are complimentary.

I also use the Glycolic Fix Night Pads. I use them on my face each and every night. It takes away any dirt that my skin accumulated from the day. I use the Dragon Plumping Serum every morning. It gives my skin a nice and clean look, and also serves as a great moisturizer! The Serum totally helps my uber dry skin.

Like I said earlier, the Dragon Mask is my absolute favorite Nip+Fab product (though it is hard to pick a favorite!). I use it twice a week. I put it on right before I go to bed, and leave it on all night.

When I wake up, my skin feels fresh and rejuvenated.

Nip+Fab can be found at Ulta, Target, ASOS, and other places. Just google it and you will find it!

It is affordable and high quality, something that is so hard to find these days.

Hope y'all try these products!

Life Update

As you may have noticed, I have been pretty quiet this past week. This post is a micro life update on some news that I am excited to share with you!

I have decided to take a job with my alma mater, Wake Forest University. After weighing all my options, looking at the prices in cities such as Washington DC and New York, a move to Winston Salem was the perfect decision for me at this point in my life!

I truly believe that this Southern city has a ton to offer, and I am excited to see it grow. I loved my time here in college, and I am looking forward to expanding my horizons and giving back to a community that has given so much to me!

Fitz and I (along with my saint of a mother) have just begun to move into my new apartment. This weekend will be filled with moving in and sweat, but I am excited to show off my new space. The next few posts will probably focus on my new apartment. I am truly balling on a budget, so stay tuned for how that goes :)

I feel endless support from my great friends and online readers. I am so excited to see how God uses this stage of life to stretch and grow me. I am also looking forward to all of the friends I will make along the way, and my new community.

If you are ever in Winston Salem, please say hello. Fitz and I would love to treat you to a coffee!

Bay Area Must: Savannah Chantelle Winery

I absolutely love having family and friends visit me. I may be a little bias, but I think the Bay Area was the absolute BEST place to grow up in. It is so beautiful, has incredible food, and offers many different things to do, including wine tasting. When my friend Brooke decided to visit me, I took her to a fantastic winery called Savannah Chantelle.

Most people assume that all the wine tasting in the Bay Area happens in Napa, and while many of it does, the South Bay and coast offers some good vineyards.

Savannah Chantelle is nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, and it offers a really wonderful selection of wines. While they are primarily a red winery (woohoo!) they also had two great chardonnays.

A flight is only $10 and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. If you are in the Bay, this is definitely worthy of a day trip.

Hope you are having the most fantastic summer!

The Flowery Dress

I love floral dresses! I am not the biggest pattern person, but for some reason I do love a nice floral pattern.

My friend Taylor noted that this could easily be a fall dress as well--it is perfect for tailgate season!

It was a great dress for today's excursions and it is super comfy.

Today was so fabulous! We walked quite a bit though, and these boots were not made for walking distances. My feet kinda hate me right now.

My friend Katie and I outside of the National Archives. Not going to lie...I was totally thinking about National Treasure!

We spent the day at the National Gallery and it was so great! Taylor adores art, so she was in heaven. I love impressionism and anything French, so I soaked in some time with my good friend Monet.

Hope your day was fab!
