Happy #nationaldogday to my sweet Fitz

If you haven't yet realized by the copious Instagram and Facebook posts, today is national dog day. Since my pup is a vital part of my life, I thought I would share some sweet photos and give a small back story into why he is so important to me.

Fitz came at a time in my life where I was very depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. Now, you would think that adding a dog into my hectic life would be messy, and I'm not saying it has been all peaches and roses, but Fitz has made life better. He gives me a sense of responsibility, ownership, and is the one living thing in this world that will love my regardless of anything I do. He is my pillow to cry on, my guard dog, and my constant companion.

Even though I wake up at 7 AM and go out less because I take care of him, he is 100 percent worth it. He travels with me everywhere. Actually, I frequently am asked the question, "Where is Fitz?" If you follow me on Snapchat you know that I obsessively snap him. He truly is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen, and I am so happy he is mine forever.

Dogs can be incredible healers, and Fitz is true evidence of that. He is a pillar of consistency for me and ultimately he has given me some great life lessons. So happy national dog day Mr. Fitz, I am so glad I can call you mine!
