A week in review

Fall is in full bloom here in the Carolinas! While we've been bouncing between 60's and high 70's, I'm hoping mother nature will make up her mind and decide which temperature to permanently use. I'm getting a little tired of sweaters in the morning and dresses in the afternoons, though I truly can't complain.

I've had a relatively mild week, and am now on "Fall break." I put this in quotes because I have one day off, and most universities give their students two to three days off. No class is no class, so I really am pretty satisfied with my one day :)

Last week I celebrated one year of Fitz. He has been such a joy in my life!

I also celebrated one year of my niece, Sophia Claire. She has been the biggest blessing to our family!! Happy one year, baby girl!

On Wednesday I got to see an advanced screening of the Steve Jobs movie. I know people are being really critical about it, particularly those who knew Steve, but I didn't think that the movie portrayed him that negatively. I really enjoy Michael Fassbender, and the movie was filmed almost entirely in the Bay Area, so I liked seeing my home on the big screen!

Today has been a day of shopping and I'm about to cook some sweet potatoes and rosemary. I'm excited to blog about the recipe, so look for it early next week!

Tomorrow one of my dearest friends is coming to visit. She flew in from Los Angeles this afternoon and I can't wait to show her North Carolina. I am sure I will bombard this blog with brunch photos when I take her on Sunday!

The outfit I wore today truly celebrates fall. I picked up this sweater dress a few years ago, but I found a similar one here.

I'm wearing it with some leggings (a fall staple for me) and a burgundy hat. Here is a similar hat!

Bonus, the new Hillsong album came out this week. If you're looking for an uplifting and spiritual album, it is just that!

That's it for now! I have some exciting posts coming up, so stay tuned.
